Preschool Teacher

Duties:

  • Pursues the mission of Life Springs Church and Academy.

  • Be open to new opportunities and changes with open arms.

  • Supports each other in their lifelong learning, encouraging ongoing professional development, frequently observing, and building partnerships through intentional feedback and celebration.

  • Knows every child in your class by name and face; frequently communicates with families regarding children's progress.

  • Nurtures relationships with local schools, ministries, and organizations for the benefit of our students and our community.

  • Sustains ongoing communication with the Church staff and Life Springs Academy Board.

  • Assists with the hiring of teachers, instructional assistants, substitutes and enrichment specialists.

  • Drafts position descriptions, participates in annual performance reviews, and establishes a collaborative congenial culture.

Requirements:

  • 1+ years early childhood teaching experience necessary

  • 8:00AM - 1:00PM on-site during the school day (August-May)

  • June and July schedule more flexible and as needed; minimum 10-15 hours on-site a week

  • Attend regular board meetings

Nice To Haves:

  • 2+ years Education experience preferred; experience in leadership/management of adults considered

  • Active participant in a Christian community preferred

  • Familiarity with state and county child care licensing regulations

  • Degree in Education/ Child Development (Early Childhood Education preferred)

 

Worship Leader

Primary roles of a worship leader:

  • Putting together worship sets by church schedules.

  • Creating schedules for the team members.

  • Sending out music ahead of time with planning software.

  • Attending church staff meetings.

JOB DESCRIPTION: Part-time Worship Leader

The primary responsibilities of the part-time worship leader will be to lead a thoroughly blended worship service, and grow the music ministry at Life Springs. The candidate will possess an adaptable skill set and leadership capabilities, which will enable a worship ministry to grow with us as we add a second service and develop special worship events on campus and in our community.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide leadership, vision, and passion for Life Springs in the area of music worship ministries that is in line with the overall vision, purpose and mission of our church. Lead in creating and implementing new worship opportunities, which align with the mission and vision at Life Springs

  • Coordinate with the Senior Pastor to create and lead two well-planned and engaging Sunday morning worship service. This includes leading the Sunday Worship service and recruiting and developing a worship team, and scheduling vocalists. Responsibilities include preparation for and leading rehearsals, as well as consulting with the Senior Pastor to coordinate the music for the Sunday service.

  • Proficiency in leading worship with a strong vocal ability. Capability of leading and with a guitar and/or keyboard is a plus, but not a requirement. Ability to lead with piano or guitar accompaniment is necessary.

  • Develop and administer an annual budget for the worship ministry in accordance with the financial policies of the church.

  • Attend staff meetings with the Senior Pastor and or worship team, and participate in the planning and implementation of church programs that will fulfill the mission and vision of the church.

  • Assist in planning, implementing and leading worship for special events outside of Sunday worship services.

  • When available, perform other duties as assigned by the Senior Pastor.

  • It is anticipated that the duties associated with this position will take no less than 10 and no more than 14 hours per week.
